500 twin vs 450 single cylinder no comparison not fair
Beautiful review really well explained 👍🏻 Generally no body dares talking anything against a RE But in your review u hv pointed out the real facts and flaws of RE cheers to that 🎉
Skoda …. Anyday
Next time you could probably compare the Himalayan with the GS1250 and prove that the RE is not that great. Himalayan has no heating problems.. it manages it very well in traffic in summer heat The Brakes have good bite. Those bored can check this out for an energetic review ua-cam.com/video/y9R7Iz_iNYY/v-deo.htmlsi=BV1eKFSo5Gs28-Cp

3 lakhs mein Himalayan Tera baap bech raha kya
Wow the comparison I have been long expecting ❤
No way not going to spend double the price just for slightly better reliability. I have a KTM 390 ADV X. The older 390 engine has been in the market for such a long time. All major issues have been worked out. It has been a flawless ownership experience. I just fill up and ride. No tinkering or tightening something. I follow the normal service intervals. Indian brands are easy to service and parts are cheap and abundant. I can expect to get the KTM repaired in most places in India compared to the Honda. Secondly, I have peace of mind that if something happens to the bike like an accident I don't have to sell my kidney to pay off the parts bill. In Covid times I remember CB500X owners were paying through their noses for parts and tires because the imports were disrupted.
he must be 4 feet tall coz I’m 6.5 and I know d pain
Gurkha made like a gun goes like a bullet 💯
When are we getting himalayan 650 ? It will be a comparison then.
Honda will provide you a better biking experience and will be easy to live with. Also owning a Honda gives you a sense of desirable ownership.
Definitely the Himalayan over the NX500. Need the off-road hardware. A CRF300 would be nice, though.
Itne paise mai to pura Bihar pike jhum le
Bihar devar bhauji dhondhi kar kar ke bas bacha paida karta hai
Japanese reliability ❤
Why they spent so much time to test this ? While people like. U can do same job in 30 mins
Where I'm living currently, the Himalayan is less than half the cost of the NX. The NX is a good bike, but not good enough to justify costing over twice that of the Himmo.
It's simple. NX500 if you have the money or it's your only bike! Because of the parallel twin and Honda "reliability". However, if anything breaks be ready to wait for weeks to months for parts to arrive, even in Mumbai, longer in the sticks. Himalayan is the more value for money alternative, yes you have to deal with the single cylinder vibes but it's Hella good off road! Nx500 misses out on 21-inch spokes and switchable rear ABS. Himalayan misses out on traction control. That's about it. I have multiple bikes and prefer the RE in my stable.
A person having that budget won't really care about the delay. For him the Honda badge matter's more. And RE is no good either. It took 6 months for them to ship a cone set to Pune. Besides there is a big 'IF'. The only time I have seen the Versys 650 and the CBR 650 r going to the garage is when those met with an accident or for the usual service.
@@virajvrooms The Himalayan is new and there is a lot of demand. I think RE will sort out the parts distribution in some time. A person with that budget will not care about the price but he will definitely care about the delay. If I already know that If I break something I will be out of commission for weeks and months I won't be able to enjoy the bike. With the Himalayan or the ADV 390 I can go as hard as I want and enjoy the ride. Also the Indian bikes are built for the abuse for example the alloys are made more sturdy and heavy to deal with bad Indian roads. Even if Indian brands go for service more often it is cheap and super quick. One big advantage is that you can get it fixed in most places in India. I think if a person wants to just enjoy riding onroad/offroad. Indian brands are the way to go.
@@anirudhhhh Too much biased in your reply. No body is stopping you from buying an Indian brand. But don't expect others to follow you.
I've owned two RE's and I'm definitely done with them
My Brother 🙇
Let me earn that much then In Shaa Allah definitely
I knw someone's someone who owns an NX. It's insane. NX is a very specific tool and not everyone will own or appreciate it. But it's amazing for what it is. Honda's service is actually excellent. Their mechanics really know what they do but I can't say the same about RE from experience. Honda is expensive but it's a very fine tuned machine.
I actually don't like the Honda for their steep after sales cost. However I can vouch for the riding experience and refinement. Once you own a Japanese bike you need to do a lot of thinking before switching to a European brand.
My experience with the new 450 has not been very great. There is some kind of friction inside the engine but RE service centre is unable to figure out whats wrong and they are saying its just normal vibration which its not. I really regret purchasing this bike because my friends Himalayan runs really good but not mine. This happened within first week of buying this bike.
Beware of RE service. They completely ruined my 411.
Man. Find a private garage that specialise in RE service. They might build a Sherpa or a Gurkha or a Pathan engine. End of the day it's still an RE. The private guys should be able to solve the issue as the RE mechanics community is really well connected. With service centers you actually get into that corporate hierarchy. Sometimes even if the mechanic knows a solution he is not authorised to solve it. One reason why I always have bought Bajaj and KTMs. The service guys are from a different universe all together. If they are not authorised to do something in the showroom they clearly mention that and share the contacts outside the official network.
@@virajvrooms that's what I have been adviced too, I was sceptical since the bike is under warranty but it's useless anyways since they are unable to resolve the issue. I had asked one of my regular mechanics who specialises in bullets but he said he still haven't worked on new liquid cooled engine so he wasnt sure about it. But I somehow need to get it fixed since it's related to engine and it's annoying while riding the bike
@@virajvrooms True. Still scouting for that private garage. 👍
@@dilipnair5081 Yup. Keep trying. I see some RE fanboys here vouching for RE service centers. Asked them to share the names, and as usual no response. So I am entitled to assume those are service centres from a parallel universe. My mechanic is an RE owner and he was a bit scared first to touch my KTM ADV. I just showed him how to disconnect the IMU sensors. Rest he was able to figure it out.
Honda made in Japan or SE asia?
Doesn't matter. Quality stays the same.
Clocked 2000 + kms on NX500, LOVING IT 👏👏. CHECK IT OUT!
Haha. Good videos.
@@virajvrooms appreciate your response bro... ❤️ Par wahi par comment kar dete , toh hamare channel ka bhala hota 😁
double price...so the fact that u r evencomparing means the Indian wins hands down,!
Christopher needs to bring some enthusiasm in his speech!.. Its of no use to have good vocabulary & speak within your mouth..
I own Himalayan 450 most of the issues you mentioned alleyway sorted like connectivities, switch gear.. Heating is prominent in this summer in city's stop and go traffic which needs to be addressed by RE. Honda have a proven engine that's all.. For that huge On road price of this CBU unit is unjustified even for twin cylinder setup. Himalayan is gm any day. You can buy 3-4 Himalayan with same money of honda to keep warranty intact for years with resale and repurchase 😊😊 just a juggad thought
I actually liked this review. For guys complaining about both bikes being leagues apart. True from one side. But just jump to the other side of the spectrum. Two bikes that make absolutely no sense for the target it is intended for. One known for quality but pricy and another infamous for its recalls and after sales but cheaper. I would no doubt buy the Honda in my 55's. Quality and hassle free. I would buy the Himalayan if my family has been an RE fan and they don't find heritage in any other brand but at the same time I need an ADV and not a pseudo-cruiser.
pro max
Omg this was such a boring review that I couldn't even complete the video. This guy is speaking in such a monotonous way😐😐 please overdrive don't do this to us
Hahaha
I kept the playback speed at 1.5x just so I don't sleep.😂
Is this guy for real? Overdrive cannot have such mediocre comparisons of 2 completely different genres of riding. The Himalayan was never ment to do things that the reviewer is expecting it to do, and for 7.5L onroad...CBU or not, the CB500 is a joke.
Oh yeah. Himalayan was made to fly.
Ohh yes you are on the dot literally hitting a bullseye🎯. Too much to pay for these machines not made in India Nand for indian biking conditions as well. 😂
Now let's see what the 5 door Thar will be like. Interesting times ahead.
Punch face lift 😂😂😂
Rear design looks exactly like kiger with extended tail Light 😮
Expected Price will be around 22 lakhs🎉
For 99% cases the new Himalayan is way better than the HONDA , its now has more than adequate power for Mile munching at 100 - 120 kmph all day long , is spacious, has accessory options , can take pillion comfortably to Ladakh and the SHOWA suspension set up is a dream . Offroad is absolutely no match , At half price its anyday a better bike overall .Great Job RE. for those who cry about no tubeless tyres, carry a portable inflator for your rides.
how is a portable inflator comparable to tubeless tyres in the case of punctures?
Ah yes. Portable inflator. Invented by James bond to fill the air in tubed tyres in real-time as the it leaks from the puncture hole.
We pay half and we get half the quality. Two of my friends bought the 450, both are facing issues
Exactly... Look at triumph also facing so many issues... People needs to understand, even though it shines when you look at it, you get what you pay for... Cheap price, cheap product... They might make it not look cheap but it's still cheap..
All bikes have issues. That's not the point. It's how the service team handles those issue is what matter. And with RE, you better be prepared to get annoyed. One visit to the workshop and you will come back remembering those good old days when you owned a Bajaj. I own a KTM ADV and the tyres cracked a month after warranty ended. And I don't need to mention what a Metzeler costs? The KTM guys just replaced it. No questions asked! While my friend with a meteor is still struggling to get the cone set rectified, forget replacement.
I have had great experience at RE service centers. All my issues were immediately fixed and addressed. Even say with the new Himalayan right leaning issue. Fixed the same week of delivery. I except issue with any bike, but I expect more from the service center to fix issues. Have heard enough horror stories about Triumph and Honda dealers treating customers like shit and not fixing the bike even after spending 20-40k on service! 😂
@@avid_biker Good. Please share your dealer's/service center's name.
@@avid_biker Yeah, RE is quite willing to entertain replacements under warranty. My Interceptor's exhaust headers developed some tiny rust spots at the hottest part. They were changed under warranty without any fuss. That's 30k worth of parts.
Lets give India chance...RE❤
bulu took both❤❤
Yeah, same dude who looks down on xpluse owners and call them insignificant
That Himalayan is not going to stay.
❤ the ground clearance.
Honda bikes are more than the numbers on spec sheet. You just pay for the authentic Japanese experience.
please define 'authentic Japanese experience'.
Hahaha
Huh? U can say that to almost every other bike company (German, other Japanese, Italian, American, hell even Chinese), in that regard every non-indian brand is a experience good or bad, Honda is not 'unique' (becz Ghar ki murgi daal barabar). RE buyer/fans can also argue about their brand's heritage and legacy and how it's oldest bike manufacturer etc.
@@shwetankshuklaexactly.. Indian are second most reliable bike manufacturers in the world after Japan... Respect Indian bike brands.. They have come long way... Top 10 highest selling bike brands has 4 bikes brands from India and rest of the 6 bikes brands are in top 10 because of Indian sales... 😂
@@THUGPUTIN true bro
Both are different legues not a fair comparison
First to like
I’m extremely happy to see that they have improved things by listing to critics . Like engine “power upgrade”. ”suspension arms” redesigned for ground clearance digital front console and an info system with google maps Toyota still needs this upgrade. The issues still linger on non adjustable middle row back angle. Why can’t they just swap the middle row and the back row exactly like the Innova crysta ? It’s an extremely convenient setting. If I buy this 5door I’ll surly get it done as an after market thing… captain in the middle and 50:50 flat bed seat as the last row with detachable and foldable option . ❤❤
Isn’t this a force trax with some 4wd. That side profile is identical. And honestly the missing auto makes it more niche. Am sure it’s capable, but last I drove the gearbox was so much effort that unless you need 4wd regularly it’s just too much work
Offroad on budget you got me bro 😂😂 jeep wrangler and land cruiser set the bench so high we think offroading is only for rich and foreigners..
1:36. Totally agree. Any vehicle even the venue can easily handle these kinds of basic terrains.
Beautiful work and a great initiative ✨🐾
